If you are looking to reduce waste in your bathroom, one of the simplest and most effective changes you can make is to switch to reusable cotton rounds. This crochet pattern allows you to create soft and durable rounds using 100% cotton yarn, making them perfect for washing, drying, and using repeatedly. Not only does this method help you save on disposable products, but it also contributes to a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

Switching to reusable cotton rounds may seem like a small adjustment, but over time, the impact can be significant. These rounds help to reduce disposable pads ending up in landfills, decrease your trips to the store for replacements, and save you money in the long run. By incorporating them into your routine, you can contribute to a more sustainable approach while also simplifying your daily skincare tasks.
these cotton rounds can be used just like traditional single-use cotton pads. Whether you’re removing makeup, applying toner or micellar water, cleansing your face, or attending to various skincare needs, these rounds serve the same purpose without the environmental guilt. I like to keep a stack of them conveniently located by my sink. After use, I toss the dirty ones into a small mesh bag, which can easily go in the washing machine when it’s laundry day.

Reusable Cotton Rounds Crochet Pattern
To start, chain 4 and slip stitch into the first chain to join and form a ring.
Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as double crochet now and throughout the pattern), then work 11 double crochets into the ring. Slip stitch to the top of the chain 3 to join. This brings you to a total of 12 stitches.
Round 2: Chain 3, make 1 double crochet in the same stitch, then work 2 double crochets in each stitch around. Slip stitch to the chain 3 to join, resulting in 24 stitches.
Round 3: Chain 3, work 1 double crochet in the same stitch, then *work 1 double crochet in the next stitch, followed by 2 double crochets in the stitch after that.* Repeat from the asterisk to the end of the round. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3 and fasten off, weaving in any ends. This round will yield 36 stitches.
